There is always a reason why we choose to do certain things, and sometimes great opportunities come our way that makes us stop in our tracks and think about how can we help others.
The project seeks to implement a "soft approach" when caring for premature babies. These fragile babies need more than good medical care, they need to be held by the mother, caressed, and talked to while they are developing on sterile hospital incubators.
Chances are you know someone born prematurely, that would be me for one. While when I was born such soft approaches were unthinkable, today not implementing them still lingers. This organisation is helping change the mentality by letting the family look after the baby through the difficult and painful injections that accompany their out-of-the-womb care.
The money raised goes towards equipping 2 hospitals with the essential required to implement this 'soft approach'. The organization has been working effortlessly since 2013 and started as the initiative of a mother faced with the difficulty of looking after twin premature babies in the hospital. Each of the little lucky souls born prematurely could now get a good start in life, grow to be a normally emotionally and physiologically developed adult. It has already defeated all odds by being born alive and wanting to kick ass.
Among all EU, Romania has the highest number of premature babies. Your help in contributing to this fundraising is going to a much-needed place.

Asociația Română pentru Nou-născuții Îndelung Săpitalizați - ARNIS a fost înfiinţată în luna august 2013 din experienţa personală a Corinei Croitoru, părinte de copii gemeni şi prematuri. Asociația a funcționat sub denumirea de Asociația Unu și Unu, în perioada 2013-2021, “unu și unu” fiind metafora ce reprezintă acei copii speciali, extraordinari care au demonstrat tuturor că, deși născuți înainte de termen sau îndelung spitalizați, pot învinge limitările medicale, luptându-se pentru viața lor.

Implementarea principiilor Family Centered Care in Romania, in 2 spitale in 2018, in 3 spitale in 2019 si formarea trainerilor (cadre medicale din Romania) pentru implementarea ulterioara a proiectului.
