Cosmin este un tanar cu autism, beneficiar al Centrului de Terapie Recuperatorie Star of Hope Iasi. După ani si ani de terapie, Cosmin a evoluat și a reușit să se integreze in comunitate. Și-a găsit și un loc de muncă, într-un orășel din Germania. Din păcate, nu s-a putut bucura decât câteva luni pentru că... A fost descoperit de medici cu tumoră malignă carcinom stadiul IV A... Băiatul are acum URGENT nevoie de ajutor. La aflarea veștii, părinții - oameni simpli și foarte modești financiar - au împrumat bani de drum și au fugit în Germania, să-și ajute băatul. Acum este într-un spital public din Wurzburg. Mâncarea in spital costă 10 euro/zi. Drumul părinților către spital inseamnă alți 50 de euro/săptămână. Închirierea apartamentului pentru părinți costa 720 de euro/lună, fără utilități. Până acum, analizele băiatului au costat 300 de euro și mai sunt foarte multe de făcut. Urmează chimioterapia... Pentru că băiatul a lucrat cu acte, până să se îmbolnăvească, mai are încă asigurare medicală, însă pentru a o prelungi e nevoie să se ducă la muncă câteva zile pe săptămână... Băitul abia se poate ține pe picioare... Părinții sunt disperați și imploră ajutorul lui Dumnezeu și al nostru, al oamenilor care înțeleg suferința aproapelui. 

Suntem siguri că, împreună, putem alina puțin durerea cumplită din inima acestor părinți și putem reda speranța acestui băiat!

Destinul familiei lui Cosmin a fost greu încercat de la început. Dacă fiul lor cel mare s-a născut normal, cel mijlociu (Cosmin) a fost diagnostict de mic cu autism. Făcea des crize puternice de automutilare, de agresivitate. Prin terapie, s-au mai liniștit lucrurile. Cea mică are astm și face mereu crize puternice, având nevoie mereu de tratament. Toate acestea se întâmplau, în urmă cu foarte mulți ani, într-o singură cameră de cămin. Ne-au cerut ajutorul și i-am ajutat să se mute într-o căsuță mică și foarte modestă, cu implicarea unei organizații creștine din Elveția și al lui Noel, prin intermediul familiei Ana si Dan Maftei din Iași. Fundația Star of Hope Romania i-a ajutat atunci să repare ferestre, pereți, uși, acoperiș. Deși sunt amândoi bolnavi, părinții muncesc din greu pentru a avea ce să pună pe masa copiilor și îi ajută cu tot ce pot ei. Tatăl a fost de mai multe ori spitalizat cu boli grave, însă chiar și în aceste condiții a muncit de dimineată până seara. În fiecare situație grea prin care a trecut această familie, noi am intervenit și i-am ajutat cu bani, medicamente, alimente. În 2020, cel mare a găsit de lucru în Germania și a plecat să lucreze acolo. Nu câștiga mult însă, din puținul obținut, își ajuta familia de acasă. La sfârșitul anului trecut, cel mijlociu a decis să plece și el la fratele lui, să muncească alături de el. Din păcate, acolo a fost diagnosticat cu cancer la maxilar.

Upon hearing the news, the parents - simple and very financially modest people - borrowed money and fled to Germany to help their boy. He is now in a german public hospital in Wurzburg. Hospital food costs 10 euros / day. The parents' trip to the hospital means another 50 euros / week. Renting an apartment for parents costs 720 euros / month, without utilities. So far, the boy's medical tests have cost 300 euros and there is still a lot to do. Chemotherapy follows ... Because the boy worked with documents, until he got sick, he still has medical insurance, but to prolong it he needs to go to work a few days a week ... The boy is not able to work now. .. Parents are desperate and implore the help of God and ours, of people who understand the suffering of their neighbor.

We are sure that together we can alleviate the terrible pain in the hearts of these parents and we can restore hope to this boy!

The destiny of Cosmin's family was hard to test from the beginning. If their eldest son was born normally, the middle son (Cosmin) was diagnosed as young with autism. He often had severe attacks of self-harm, of aggression. Through therapy, things calmed down. The little one has asthma and always has severe seizures, always needing treatment. All this happened many, many years ago, in a single dormitory room. They asked us for help and we helped them move to a small and very modest house, with the involvement of a Christian organization from Switzerland and Noel, through the family of Ana and Dan Maftei from Iași. The Star of Hope Romania Foundation then helped them repair windows, walls, doors, roofs. Although they are both ill, the parents work hard to have something to put on the children's table and help them with everything they can. The father was hospitalized several times with serious illnesses, but even in these conditions he worked from morning to evening. In every difficult situation this family went through, we intervened and helped them with money, medicine, food. In 2020, the eldest child found work in Germany and went to work there. However, he did not earn much, from the little he obtained, he helped his family at home. At the end of last year, the middle one decided to go to his brother, to work with him. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with jaw cancer there.
